Duration

8/9 days

Real client, tight deadline, full process.
In just 9 days, I co-designed a responsive portfolio website for a Lisbon-based photographer. This second Ironhack project marked my first collaboration with a real stakeholder, sharpening my ability to balance business needs with user experience — all within a fast-paced, autonomous workflow.

Project overview

With fellow designer Leticia, we redesigned the website of Akemy Mory, a photographer seeking a stronger online presence. Our complementary strengths — research for her, UI for me — allowed us to work side by side rather than splitting tasks, creating a dynamic and collaborative process.
Working without daily instructor guidance pushed us to self-manage entirely. We structured our workflow in Notion, conducted interviews, ran user testing, and iterated under pressure — while navigating a stakeholder's feedback and communicating entirely in English.

Scope & Objectives

I studied several competitors to identify their strengths and weaknesses. In parallel, I carried out a heuristic evaluation of Uber Eats based on Nielsen's principles. This analysis enabled me to identify key issues, including information overload and a lack of clarity in filters and navigation.

UX/UI Approach

We began with competitor analysis and user interviews to understand both business goals and user expectations. We then structured the architecture, created user flows, and iterated multiple wireframes before delivering a polished high-fidelity prototype — always keeping our client involved.

Results & Impact

The final website design brought clarity and sophistication to the photographer’s digital presence. This project was a key milestone in my journey: I proved I could own a full UX/UI process, collaborate under time pressure, and deliver value to a real client.
